DJ PROFILE: Professional DJ Scizma
I'm Tsey Gideon Humble, professionally known as DJ Scizma.
Background and Experience
I began my musical journey in 2009 and gained stability and recognition in 2014. Notably, I was the first runner-up in Jubilee FM's Most Promising DJ's Contest in 2018. In 2021, I was crowned the Best DJ and Promoter of the Year at the Volta Youths Awards.
Inspiration and Influences
I was born with a passion for music and was inspired by radio DJs to pursue my career. My biggest DJ influences include DJ Khaled, DJ Black, DJ Massive, and more.
DJ Style and Creative Process
I describe my DJ style as talented, and I strive to create new and innovative mixes. My creative process involves listening to my fans and other DJs' mixtapes to stay inspired and informed.
Challenges and Criticism
I face challenges such as damaging my equipment and lack of support. However, I take criticism and negative comments in good faith, using them as opportunities to grow and improve.
Performance Experience
My favorite part of performing live is moving the crowd. Some of my most memorable shows include Onua Festival Train 2023, Hogbetsotso Carnival, Pramfest 2022, and Jubilee Most Promising DJs Contest 2018.
Upcoming Projects and Shows
My next project is the Volta Hit Mixtapes, specifically Turn Up Sound Episode 15, aimed at promoting and pushing Volta music to the top.
Future Goals
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself becoming the biggest DJ in Ghana and the world.
Hobbies and Interests
Aside from music, I enjoy electronics.
