Welcome to the “NEXT TO BLOW” show, proudly brought to you by KHANDY GRAPHJOCK – the platform where we spotlight raw, rising talents and amplify the voices of creatives across Ghana, especially from our home ground – the Volta Region. At Next to Blow, we’re not just talking entertainment, we’re talking evolution. This show is a spotlight for Volta’s and Ghana’s hottest and most promising upcoming talents — the raw voices, the bold creatives, the unfiltered fire burning underground.
What to Expect
- Artist/Creative Spotlight [Real stories, real faces, real hustle]
- Interview Questions [We dive deep, not just what they do, but why they do it]
- Music Reviews [Honest takes, real feedback, and recommendations]
- Freestyle Showdown [“Who Rocked the Mic?” The mic is open. Bars only]
- DE 360+5 SPOTLIGHT [Our blog that goes global, capturing artist movement, growth, and presence throughout the year]
NOTE: The 360 stands for the global circle, the artist’s presence, their journey, the influence that reaches beyond borders.
And the +5? That’s the five extra days, the commitment, the effort, the consistency that fills out a whole year.
360 + 5 = 365. Because we don’t just count moments, we count every move made in the year under review.
My name is Kpodo Kwaku Jerry with the stage name Dj Khandy, and today, we’re talking about something that has been on my heart , the internal tensions in our music space, the disconnect between artists and creatives, and how we can come together to finally give the Volta Music Industry the national exposure it deserves.
We can’t ignore it – there’s been a growing argument between artists and other key players in the industry. Artists feel they’re not getting the support they deserve. On the other side, bloggers, videographers, DJs, and promoters feel unappreciated or even disrespected for their hard work. Some say, “bloggers charge too much.” Others say, “artists don't respect creatives or invest in promo.” Then you have brands hesitant to support because they don’t see unity or structure. But here’s the thing – we’re all on the same team. The photographer, the beat maker, the DJ, the blogger, the stylist, the event plug, we are co-builders of a dream. When one side fails, the whole structure shakes.
To my fellow artists: you have talent, yes. But talent without teamwork is a dead end. You can’t go global alone. Respect the hands that hold the lens, the voice that announces your song, the page that posts your flyer.
And to the bloggers and promoters let’s stop gatekeeping opportunities based on bias or personal beef. If someone is good, let’s push. If an artist needs guidance, let’s mentor — not mock.
Brands, we need you too. Don’t wait till an artist blows before investing. The next Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Kwadwo Sheldon, Dj Lord OTB, King Promise might be in Keta, Aflao, Ho, Akatsi, Sogakope and other places across Volta. Don’t miss the moment to help shape history.
That’s exactly why we created Khandy Graphjock and yet to launch “Next to Blow.” We’re not just a media house; we’re a creative movement. A bridge between the unheard talent and the national spotlight. We profile artists, we create press kits, we shoot interviews, reels, freestyles and we take them to radio, online, and the streets. We’re not here to compete, we’re here to collaborate and connect. Our doors are open to any rising artist, any young videographer, stylist, content creator, let’s build a culture of collaboration, not comparison.
So today, I’m calling on all creatives in the Volta Region, it’s time to put ego aside and unite. Whether you’re from Hohoe or Aflao, Dzodze or Sogakope, any parts of Volta Region, your vibe is valid. Your art is needed. Your voice matters.
Khandy Graphjock is here to help you shine, and we invite all brands, DJs, bloggers, radio hosts, event organizers — let’s push the Volta wave together.
"The world is watching Ghana. It’s time they hear our sound — the Volta Sound."
The underground is loud — and right here on Next to Blow, we’re turning the volume all the way up.
No matter where you’re from, you’ve got the talent, the story, the grind — this is your stage.
This is your mic.
This is your moment.
YOU ARE NEXT TO BLOW!!!
